We were excited to get our new microwave. Love the automatic one press feature. The problem is, it randomly stops working. When you hit time and try to press start, the "food" bottom starts flashing and it won't start. Very frustrating.

After a year of light to moderate use, the door latch mechanism broke, and the estimate to replace it was exorbitant. We found a video tutorial on how to kludge it, but that fails every few months. We have had to take the cover off so many times that the screws holding it on are all stripped. Based on other reviews and the number of results that pop up in an internet search, this is a known engineering flaw. For the price, this is unacceptable--I have had units that cost 1/4 as much that lasted far longer without needing repairs. As a microwave oven, it's fine. Popcorn popping is uneven compared to other units, but it does all the things a microwave oven should do. Except open and close reliably. Which is a bit like saying a car does everything a car should do, except it's anyone's guess whether you can get into the car on any given day.
Died in 3 Years

I bought my house in 2018. I have a GE profile built in 2.2 ft.³ microwave. It died on me and stopped heating up about three months ago. Long story short, how does something die within three years if it’s this expensive? Since I have the built-in microwave that has a kit (which also cost a couple hundred bucks), I had to order the same one and hopefully it doesn’t die. I remember the good old days when microwaves use to last for 15 to 20 years but they do no longer make quality like that anymore.

Appliance looks nice, trim kit fits perfectly, and overall compliments my wall oven under it. It heats food quickly and gets hot quickly. The features on it are great!
Easy to operate.

It's a great product. I would suggest on future products they have the oven functions lit up. It is a little hard to read the way it is now. However, after using it for awhile, I know by heart where all the settings are. It might also be a good idea to have the trim kits available.
