For my brand new GE refrigerator I prefer to buy only genuine GE water filters. I tried an off-brand and it was a waste of money. Slow discharge, stuff in my ice cubes. Not doing that again. GE filter easy to install. Buy only genuine GE filters.

The hardest water filter to install!!! I broke the first one that took two weeks to get from GE. So I ordered another from Amazon and got it the next day. I called an appliance repair to install it because I didn’t want to pay $53 for another. GE needs to change out this type of water filter. It’s just AWFUL!

The GE selection guide did not show the filter I needed - ordered the wrong filter. Went to a generic site and found the correct filter that GE did not seem to offer.
