This washer met several criteria in what I was looking for in a washer, however there is much room for improvement, especially for the price. My washer and dryer were delivered last week. I noticed right away the stainless steel tub has far fewer holes than the ones I've seen in numerous YouTube videos. Im concerned it is a manufacturing defect. My model also has a 0 on the end of the model number, so possibly the tub was changed, but I'm not seeing this as a positive. Here is what I would feel is missing: Water level selection. Seriously, how hard would that be to add to such an expensive washer. I know the controls are electronic, that the knobs are just for appearance. Given that there is no auto sence feature, seems the conservative use of water would have been to have at least 3 water levels based on the amount of laundry being washed. Some type of lint filter. I'm finding a lot of lint on clothes and in the tiny holes of the tub. I'm actually washing an empty load now to try to clear out some of the lint from the last load. I would like the ability to have the lid open while the washer is filling. This is the first washer I've had in this home and like to see what the water pressure looks like when filling. I'd also like to know the difference between mixed, po were wash and bulky. Looking at the user guide, the only difference is the recommended items to wash on each cycle. I find that very condescending. Why can't I receive the facts and choose a cycle based on the differences of the cycles. As of now, I have no way of telling which cycle to pick if I want a shorter or longer agitation time based on the soil level of my laundry. Soil level would have been a nice setting as well. I'm so thankful for the videos others have made with the lid open while this washer runs so that I at least have some idea of whst the cycles are like. Once you push start, you cant see av thing. Yes you can open the lid if not spinning, but the washer comes to a dead stop. I feel like if I pay this much for a washer I should be able to watch it operate.

I am very picky about any appliance I buy. I did research before purchasing the Maytag Commercial Washer. I have had it for a couple of weeks and have done about 20 loads of laundry so far, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. It is easy to use, works quietly, seems very solid, and cleans very well. It also has the ratcheting agitator that I was looking for and fills up with water. The cycles are fast--about 35-40 minutes. So far, I would highly recommend this washer and hopefully it performs without problems over the coming years.
