Works very quietly for a disposal. Sink stopper is nicely made and easy to use. Does take up more space under the sink than a 1/2 HP does.

We replaced a KitchenAid waste disposer that we had used since we built our home 18 years ago. So, our only option was another KitchenAid. We went with the same HP rating and we chose this model because of its stainless steel construction and its outstanding durability. But the biggest feature of this unit is how quiet it is. We love it and it can handle a variety of food with ease. We could not have made a better choice.
