We bought the Frididare Double Wall oven FGET3065PF Nov. 2014 we hardly ever use bottom oven, just occasionally. I decided to use self clean function on it for the first time before hosting my Christmas Eve party.... what a big mistake! The lower oven is no longer heating after using the self clean function and of course my 3 year extended warranty that I purchased expired as well.

Bought sept 2016, failed November 2019, first time using the self-clean feature of lower oven (we don’t get it very dirty). Apparently cleaning for the default time of three hours is too long and will cause over heating and blow out the thermostat. So, $230 dollars later, we have our oven back. Serviceman said to clean it only two hours next time, but I will be afraid to clean it at all. It is very expensive to repair because it takes two men to get it out of the wall and back in. Too bad Fridigaire didn’t put an inline fuse that the owner could reach to handle this next time.
